Datanla High Rope Course in Da Lat
The High Rope Course at Datanla Waterfall, on Prenn Pass just outside Da Lat, is an adventure park in the treetops: rope bridges, ladders, beams and ziplines strung between wooden platforms built around tall pines. You move along it clipped to a safety cable, at your own pace.
After a short briefing on the equipment you go round on your own, with an instructor stationed at each section. You get 2 hours on the course; the sections up to red take about an hour.

At the operator's counter the course costs 360,000 VND, or 300,000 VND for students. Online tickets cost a little more but are confirmed instantly and cancel free up to 24 hours ahead.

High Rope Course levels at Datanla Waterfall
Two practice circles
A monkey bridge, ladders and a short zipline to get used to the clips.
Blue: 10 obstacles
Rope bridges and beams of rising difficulty.
Red: a 200 m zipline
A long glide through the pines from one platform to the next.
Orange: 9 warm-up challenges
Easy crossings between the first platforms, after the practice circles.
Black: 39 m zipline and a 15 m jump
The hardest level, ending with a jump off a 15 m cliff; not everyone takes it on.
Height rule, clothing and check-in
Who can go: from 140 cm tall and between 20 and 120 kg; no experience is needed, but you must be able to follow instructions in English. Not suitable for people with high blood pressure, epilepsy or similar conditions.
What to wear: light, quick-dry clothes and closed-toe shoes, no hats. Bring a change of clothes.
Check-in: the course runs from 08:00, and the last check-in is at 13:45; arriving 30 minutes before your time is best. At the Datanla entrance, turn right for the High Rope Course.
Datanla High Rope Course questions
Is the combo cheaper than two tickets?
No. Online, the course and the new coaster bought separately come to slightly less than the combo; the combo saves only a second booking. Do the ropes course first, then the coaster.
Does the combo include the 1,500 m zipline?
No. The ziplines inside the ropes course are short ones; the long Datanla zipline over the falls is a separate ticket.
Can children do the High Rope Course at Datanla Waterfall?
Only from 140 cm tall. Younger children can play at Wonder Webs, the net playground in the tourist area, or ride the coasters from 90 cm.
How hard is the Datanla High Rope Course?
The sections rise in difficulty, and the first ones need no experience. The black section, with the 39 m zipline and the 15 m jump, is hard enough that not everyone does it.
